LLeweLLyn, Thanks for the idea, but unfortunately, the X server is running on the Explora, and it doesn't have the equivalent of an XF86Config. It is beginning to look like I may just be out of luck, unless I can get KDE or gnome to handle the mouse mangling for me, as they (and the apps), are the only thing running on the BSD box.
