Hi,

    Well, FreeBSD recognize this mouse, Microsoft IntelliMouse (serial),
maybe it will work for you. And for the second question, yes, you will have
to recompile the kernel with the following options:

options  USER_LDT
options  SYSVSHM
options  SYSVSEM
options  SYSVMSG
