I use CCACHE_NOHASH_SIZE_MTIME:

if (getenv("CCACHE_HASH_COMPILER")) {
    hash_file(args->argv[0]);
} else if (!getenv("CCACHE_NOHASH_SIZE_MTIME")) {
    hash_int(st.st_size);
    hash_int(st.st_mtime);
}
