FreeBSD runs a wide variety of common (and less common) desktop
environments. Gnome, KDE, Xfce, and LXDE all work fine. Others such as
Enlightenment, OpenBox and CompizFusion work great as well. If you ever
want to know whether an application runs on FreeBSD, check out
http://freshports.org/ and do a search there.

Thanks,
Kevin Zheng
