for those of you just tuning in, I'm wrestling with a SoundBlaster card
under FreeBSD-3.1. I caught a quick glimpse of the boot screen today and
managed to make out the word "Vibra", which as far as I can tell means
nothing but trouble...

in addition to the ISA SoundBlaster, there are PCI video and ethernet cards
in the machine as well.
