Hi,

I just installed 2.2.5 and had a few problems - when I did the fdisk I
forgot to make a partition bootable, exited from the installation
procedure and reselected "Novice Installation" from the menu. From that
point on, all I could get was the first fdisk screen, I had to reboot to
do the installation. Minor problem, I know.

I now have FreeBSD installed on 3 computers, none will mount the cd-rom
drive as advertised. These are all "stock" installations, no kernel
recompiles.
"mount /dev/wcd0c /cdrom" gives "Incorrect super block" on all
machines. The fstab file is identical on all 3 computers, the guy at
tech support said it was right and should work. Computer configurations
are:

Packard-Bell P133 w/32mb ram, hd0 1.2 gb ide primary master - Win95
hd1 1.6 gb ide primary slave - FreeBSD
cd0 atapi ide secondary master (wcd0c)

No-name P133 w/64mb ram, hd0 3.7 gb ide primary master - FreeBSD
cd0 atapi ide secondary master (wcd0c)

No-name P200mmx w/128mb ram, hd0 4.1 gb scsi - FreeBSD
                             hd1 4.1 gb scsi - FreeBSD
cd0 atapi ide primary master (wcd0a)

fstab says wcd0x FS type cd9660 in all. "mount_cd9660 /dev/wcd0x
/cdrom" works. Is a link to fstab missing somewhere? All installs were
done with the 2.2.5 cd-roms from Walnut Creek. (What happened to Lynx?
I found it on cd4, but the directory doesn't have much inside, and
pkg_add fails.)

Thanks,
Mark Bitting
