Don't foget noatime as well...  That can help for steps like depend
and obj where you touch at a minimum every Makefile and every .depend
file, and sometimes every source file as well.  (Although I still
haven't done it for my /usr/src disk, but then I don't compete in the
WorldStone races, either.)
