I noticed another thing with the test image.
If I run gpart, it reports like this:
root@raspberry-pi# gpart show
=> 270582939648 33262150885572609 mmcsd0 MBR (12G)

The SD card I am using is 4 GB, so why does it report 8 and 12 gigs?
