Thanks. much... I must have tried everything but the handbook.. duh..

After reading this, I'm wondering if a "virtual channel" does both input 
and output or whether each input or output constitutes a different 
channel? IE; if I create 4 virtual channels I can I play 2 channels back 
while recording 2 other channels? It's not really clear from the 
documentation.
