Cool, thanks, I'll make this change.

As a little interesting data point, here is what happens already
today (before my change), so this should not be a practical change
for nearly all scenarios:

  % make test-gcc
  USE_GCC=4.8+
  Port can use later versions.
  :
  Using GCC version 5
  CC=gcc5 - CXX=g++5 - CPP=cpp5 ...
  :
  RUN_DEPENDS=gcc5:lang/gcc
