I still cry foul since I'm ALSO using a 1280x1024 screen and using it
in non-doubled mode. With my P5-90 the game is significantly easier
to play with the slowed down double size and when I tried actually
playing in that mode, I rocketed all the way up to level 21 without
even trying (and then quit, because the game wasn't much fun at that
speed). The whole game does and doesn't react slower - the ship can
still be pivoted at the same rate, which often saves your butt when
there are lots of things coming at you. My most frequent cause of
death is also a red ship coming on a diagonal VERY fast and wiping me
out before I can react. Under the doubled mode, the game is slow
enough that this doesn't happen.

So I repeat my challenge: Level 23 with 1280x1024 and standard mode (no
command line flags)? We shall see! :-)
