Oops, that is my fault. I was trying to get the SNAPS working again
and forgot that perl can be optional. If nobody beats me to it, I'll
fix it tomorrow night. Would moving perl out of the for loop and
putting it in a ".if !defined(NOPERL)" after the for loop, be ok?
