It may have been me. I originally posted this message to

Yes, although the media was "initialized" under Windows. I'm
starting to wonder if this drive needs some very special driver support
(in the same way that a win-modem or a win-printer needs special driver
support).
I may play with it some more, tonight, if I have the time.
