I did and do.  In this case the diffs appeared to take things
back to a previous version.  I waited a couple of days and
since this didn't appear to change, I committed the md5 change.
Shortly thereafter the new files showed up again.  Still don't
know why it happened.

I can send the diffs to anyone who is interested.
