From: Marius Kirschner <marius@agoron.com> Subject: IRC server Date: Sun, Aug 26, 2001 at 10:09:20PM -0400 > I want to set up an IRC server on my box, mainly to play around with it. > What's a good server that's part of the ports? You can install hybrid ircd from the ports (irc/ircd-hybrid). I've also successfully installed bahamut (http://bahamut.dal.net), and Undernet's own uircd (http://www.undernet.org) , by compiling them myself. The tarballs of those servers include instructions on compiling and installing the server, so you shouldn't find it very difficult to compile one, even if it's not in the ports. -giorgos To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
