I don't use VPOPMAIL, nor do I know anything about it (I use the POP
daemon that comes with qmail).  If I were you, I would check to see
that MySQL is running and that the username/password combination that
VPOPMAIL has for the database server works.  Beyond that, you should
probably either repost your question here (with a subject field
mentioning VPOPMAIL) or try a VPOPMAIL support forum.
