1.  As best I can see, the new FreeBSD synaptics API is somewhat 
incompatible with what tpconfig expects;

2.  I now longer have a synaptics touchpad to work with.

I suggest that you

A.  Close this PR;

B.  Have someone write some kind of MOUSE_SYN_SETHWINFO function to the 
synaptics ioctl which will give the kind of functionality that tpconfig 
used to provide.
