On http://www.freeBSD.org/ports/ there is a list of Upgrade Kits, the last listed is "4.0 to 4-stable upgrade kit'. The URL is ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-4-stable/Latest/40upgrade.tg z but there is nothing at that URL.
