Hello,

I have aquired an older HP netserver as a toy and was
wondering how good the FreeBSD support is for the hardware. The main thing
I am not sure of is the NetRAID controller. As I have not received this
machine yet, I am not sure of the exact model installed. From the
archives, anything I could dig up was fairly old and stated that support
was not available for NetRAID. Has this changed yet? Looking through lint
provided nothing on the NetRAID cards. And also if this may help with a
clue as to what the server may have for a stock NetRAID, the config is a
dual P133 with 256Mb ram and 6x4.2G scsi drives.

is there anything else I should know about using FreeBSD on these servers?

I am just not familiar with HP hardware, so just want to know what I am
getting myself into :)

Happy Holidays everyone...

Regards,

Bill Desjardins
