KDE can't use the latest autoconf or automake. No, I don't believe it's
documented. Yes, it's a pain. Stick to automake < 1.5 and autoconf 2.13
for the time being. (IIRC it uses a non-standard libtool, too, so don't
replace the libtool files in the KDE source dirs.)
