(FreeBSD Italian User Group) FreeBSD Dutch Documentation Project (Translation) FreeSBIE README FreeSBIE is een LiveCD systeem welke in staat is om zichzelf te laden vanaf CD tijdens het opstarten, zonder dat het nodig is om het te installeren op een hardeschijf. Het is gebaseerd op het FreeBSD besturingssysteem (http://www.freebsd.org). Het project heeft twee hoofddoelen: - Het ontwikkelen van een aantal scripts die handig kunnen zijn om je eigen CD te creeeren met behulp van je eigen smaak. - Het beschikbaar maken van een direct beschrijfbaar ISO beeldbestand. De ontwikkeling wordt gedaan door de FreeBSD Italian User Group (http://www.gufi.org) Meer informatie en documentatie over het project kun je vinden op de officiele webpagina. Voor meer ondersteuning kunnen de ontwikkelaars gevonden worden op het Azzurra IRC Netwerk (server irc.azzurra.org), in het kanaal #freesbie. Daarnaast is er ook een mailing lijst beschikbaar te weten freesbie@gufi.org . Meer informatie over het inschrijven kan gevonden worden op de project's webpagina. De archieven van de lijst kunnen doorzocht worden op http://www.gufi.org/ricera.php3?dove=ml:gufi Op de webpagina van het project kan ook informatie gevonden worden over hoe het programma gedownload kan worden uit de CVS repository. Om het ISO beeldbestand te maken moet ./freesbie gestart worden en de instructies gevolgd worden. Om het ISO bestand te maken is ``mkisofs'' benodigd en de programma's ``burncd'' en ``cdrecord'' om het bestand op CD te kunnen branden. De volgende scripts zijn te vinden in de hoofddirectory: 0.rmdir.sh 1.mkdir.sh 2.buildworld.sh 3.installworld.sh 4.buildkernel.sh 5.patchfiles.sh 6.packages.sh 7.customuser.sh 8.mkiso.sh Een speciaal script in deze directory is config.sh, welke gecreeerd worden als ``./freesbie'' voor het eerst gestart wordt. Dit bestand bevat omgevings variabelen die nodig zijn om een LiveCD te bouwen. config.sh (vereiste)Parameters die ingesteld moeten zijn: FREESBIEBASEDIR - De directory die het bestandssysteem zal bevatten LOCALDIR - De directory die de scripts bevat. Meestal is dit $PWD (De huidige werkdirectory). Natuurlijk kan dit zich niet bevinden in de FREESBIEBASEDIR directory. PATHISO - Het volledige path naar het uiteindelijke ISO beeldbestand (gesuggesteerd door droid) MAKEOBJDIRPREFIX - (optioneel) Bouw de wereld hier in plaats van in /usr/obj MINIMAL - Als deze variabele ingesteld is op YES wordt een minimaal systeem gebouwd.
