https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D255543 Bug ID: 255543 Summary: security/py-fail2ban: Not working with Python 3.8 Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: freebsd@mnd.sc CC: theis@gmx.at Flags: maintainer-feedback?(theis@gmx.at) CC: theis@gmx.at Since the change to Python 3.8, py-fail2ban does not work. The port compiles and installs fine, but "service fail2ban start/stop/restart" results in an error=20 ERROR [[Errno 61] Connection refused] Unable to contact server. Is it running? ERROR Fail2ban seems to be in unexpected state (not running but the socket exists) There seems to be a communcation problem between client and server which has also been reported upstream (though I'm not sure this is an upstream issue): https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/issues/3014 --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
