That was the problem I was having as well - cvsup was listed as a dir, and a
pkg, but there was nothing there to download! I haven't had much chance to
play with it since, but I'd like to see how to update the source tree as
well.

You know, I'm about to shoot myself. I mistyped "router" and somehow failed
to notice that despite having looked at it half a dozen times. So basically,
yes, I had the entry in rc.conf, but it was flat out wrong. Well of course
it works fine now. Dang.

On a different note, how can I get my hands on cvsup? It doesn't appear to
be on the base system, and it's not in the sparc64 packages on
ftp.freebsd.org. It's listed in the net category, but the link must be
broken or something because I get the "file does not exist" error. I notice
as well that the source tarball unpacks into "projects." I wonder if I might
trouble someone for a supfile, as an example secondary to the one that comes
on the iso.

Thanks for your time and patience,
-John
