Do you mean photo cameras (i.e. for still images) or video
cameras?  Those are two completely different things.

The Kodak DC240 digital camera is supported by "oPhoto"
(http://www.fromme.com/ophoto/).  I'm not aware of any
support for USB video cameras.

There should be information about that on www.usb.org.
