I thought this might be the case the first time it happened as well. But 
I removed all of distfiles, cvsuped ports, and did a make today 
(3/11/01).  So an out of date ports tree seems unlikely, no? In fact, 
each time this has failed I have checked to see if any updates had been 
made.
