These patches fix the (binary ONLY) dump commands on:

   Linux
   AIX
   HP/UX
   Tru 64
   Solaris
   IRIX

?

(Un)fortunately, the entire universe does not (yet) run FreeBSD. Me, I 
have to do a lot of backups with rsh.
