hi,
today i tried to install FreeBSD 4.9 on this notebook. i inserted the cd
and booted the system. but when the kernel came to the point "Mounting
root from ufs:/dev/md0c" it stopped. So i booted with "boot -v" and now
the kernel says:
Mounting root from ufs:/dev/md0c
start_init: trying /sbin/init
start_init: trying /sbin/oinit
start_init: trying /sbin/init.bak
start_init: trying /sbin/sysinstall

before i tried to install FBSD 4.9 i successfully installed a 5.1
release without any problem - so i do not really understand this one.
does FBSD 4.9 use different disk driver (md0c vers. acd0) ? Anyone
similar problems ? Any ideas/hints ?

thx
seb
