In message <3AB0BB19.504935BE@babbleon.org> The Babbler writes: : I find it a bit implausible that the fact that I've had apparent : PCMCIA-related crashes at least a half-dozen times in two months with : FreeBSD and at most twice over a span of four years with Linux does not : in some way reflect a difference between the operating systems, rather : than random luck. A 70x incidence rate strongly suggests causality to : *me*. Interesting. My brother reports pcmcia related crashes with linux on the order of once or twice a year. He also reports to me that he's never had FreeBSD crash on him once I helped get the pccard issue resolved. He's the only person I know personally that runs both on a regular basis. :-) I guess it is highly variable.
