Try clicking on the Dameon pic on the main page, it should take you to a page that talks about the history of the daemon figure, etc. As far as submitting your artwork, I suppose just send an e-mail with URL's to the pics to this list and wait for the feedback. If we like it I'm sure it can be added to the picture gallery at http://www.de.freebsd.org/de/gif/bsd/index.html.
