            Bug ID: 216706
           Summary: graphics/aseprite: mouse lag
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)

I'm experiencing mouse lag in Aseprite. Tiny motions are fine but longer
motions (e.g. across the window to the palette or toolbar) are very sluggis=
h.
This is with a 1000 Hz mouse - there's no lag when moused is started with -F
250 or -F 500.

I believe it's this upstream issue:

https://github.com/aseprite/aseprite/issues/283

They fixed that with this patch to their bundled Allegro:

https://github.com/aseprite/aseprite/commit/f47ba09984b0146a2599a5f2bd8fab1=
61052f072

But the FreeBSD port doesn't use the bundled Allegro. I tried applying the
patch to the Allegro in ports and that fixed the mouse lag.

However, for Aseprite, rather than patching Allegro in ports, I think it wo=
uld
be better to switch to bundled Allegro altogether because that has another
useful patch - window resizing.
