There's a grey area with some that you need to keep in mind.  I'll give
you a perfect example: irc/bitlbee.

bitlbee is an IM-to-IRC gateway.  It acts as a stand-alone IRC server,
but it bridges Windows Live/MSN, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo!, and Jabber to IRC
so that you can talk with IM contacts using an IRC client.

So -- does this program go under net-im or irc?
