A lot of work was put into making the MPT driver fully capable for 6.0.
Unfortunately this doesn't look like it was reflected in the 6.0 release
notes, but a simple query to the mailing lists could have provided up to
date status.

Adaptec contributed a large update to their RAID driver for 6.0. They
are in the process of releasing an updated management tool for it,
though the Linux management tools continue to work perfectly, as they
have for the past 3 years. Again, a simple query could have provided up
to date status.
