It jams immediately after hitting f2?  It may be that win95 initializes
something that BSD doesn't appreciate so it hangs.  This is a Compaq
computer so I'm ruling out nothing :)

I honestly don't think so.  Compaq's already have a strike against them
for the PCI bus incompatibility, so I'm not surprised by your problems.
However, I don't think we can do anything for you at this time unless one
of the developers could get his hands on it to see what is going on.
