There's an open PR docs/735 for it. :)

Unless we now change our mind to at least document the historic
options, we might consider closing the PR due to lack of consensus.

Because it's deprecated.

Heikki, please see whether adding a -b to the mount flags would
finally solve your problem (but be patient, it takes quite some time
before the mount goes backgrounding), then we could close the PR.
