Please - Has anyone seen this before?

I've recently installed V2.2.2 on several Gateway Pentium II
machines. Running fine except:

On one of the boxes the FreeBSD Partition has completely vanished -
twice (both times at night when the machine was up and running BSD)
 (In a locked room).

The DOS partition is OK. FDISK run under dos fails to
see the 'deleted' BSD partition.

When I boot up off a BSD floppy and go into the Partition
editor, it sees the lost partition as 'unused'.

The only other clue - this was set up as an anonymous ftp
machine as we were using it as our local 'distribution'
machine.

Is it possible it could have been 'hacked' or can anybody
suggest some other possible cause.

We are just in the process of 3rd reinstall!
