from the CLisp Annocunce file:

The newest versions will always be available via anonymous ftp from
ma2s2.mathematik.uni-karlsruhe.de [129.13.115.2], directory /pub/lisp/clisp/.
This directory is mirrored by the following FTP sites:

  Europe:
     rs104.hrz.th-darmstadt.de [130.83.47.112]
       /pub/programming/languages/lisp/clisp
     gwdu30.gwdg.de [134.76.98.230]
       /gnu2/clisp
  Australia:
     ftp.cs.waikato.ac.nz [130.217.240.31]
       /pub/packages/clisp-mirror
  USA:
     ftp.stat.ucla.edu [128.97.4.153]
       /pub/lisp/clisp
Other ftp sites carrying CLISP are
gatekeeper.dec.com [16.1.0.2], directory pub/plan/lisp/clisp/, and
ftp.cs.cmu.edu [128.2.206.173], directory user/ai/lang/lisp/impl/clisp/.

I can't think of any special changes required to get it to compile under
FreeBSD-2.1.0-RELEASE.
