     Not specifically saying what problem you're encountering?  I assume
you're trying to say that you can't get the WPC11 card to work, as your
ping(1) isn't reaching the "gateway" for some reason or another.

[ BTW, partial dmesgs are usually useless.  You usually need to specify
  the entire dmesg, preferably verbose, although you might be very lucky
  in this case, and might not need to.  ]

     That said, are you using a Linksys gateway?  If so, then perhaps
these changes haven't yet made it into -stable?:
