Hi!
It is not possible to merge that change to the quarterly branch, since 
it removes ports.  I'm also not sure if all needed changes for the 
removal is in the Q4 branch.
The notice is htere to remind people on the Q4 branch that these ports 
are deprecated and will be removed.
