I'm trying (still) to get the CDD program working, now with: FreeBSD silver.sms.fi 2.2-STABLE FreeBSD 2.2-STABLE #0: Tue Apr 1 09:47:44 EEST 1997 pete@silver.sms.fi:/usr/src/sys/compile/SILVER i386 This time the messages are more informative, however since the machine hung after spitting them, I don't have exact reproduction but just notes on the paper. They go like this: SCB 0x0: Timed out while idle LASTPHASE=0x1, SCSISIG=0x0, SFOADDR=0x8 Queuing abort SCB SCB 0x0: Timed out while idle LASTPHASE=0x1, SCSISIG=0xe6, SFOADDR=0x8 no longer in timeout Issuing channel A reset, 2 SCBs Clearing bus reset Clearing in-reset flag SCB 0x3: Timed out while idle LASTPHASE=0x1, SCSISIG=0xe6, SFOADDR=0x4 SCB immediate reset, flags=0x401 Anyone have any clue about this? All my previous queries have come up empty! Pete
