Dear SMP Gurus:

Can you help me?
I have HP NetServer LM with 2xP66 and AIC-7770.

mptable reports:
=======================================

MPTable, version 2.0.15

-------------------------------------------

MP Floating Pointer Structure:

  location:                     BIOS
  physical address:             0x000fed20
  signature:                    '_MP_'
  length:                       16 bytes
  version:                      1.1
  checksum:                     0xa1
  mode:                         Virtual Wire

--------------------------------------------------

  MP default config type: 2

   bus: EISA, APIC: 82489DX
----------------------------------------------------

# SMP kernel config file options:

# Required:
options SMP # Symmetric MultiProcessor Kernel
options         APIC_IO      # Symmetric (APIC) I/O

# Optional (built-in defaults will work in most cases):
#options                NCPU=2                  # number of CPUs
#options                NBUS=1                  # number of busses
#options                NAPIC=1                 # number of IO APICs
#options                NINTR=24                # number of INTs

===========================================

When I tried to run 3.1 SMP kernel with the above options it reported:

panic: sorry, can't support type 2 default yet

Is really SMP default configuration not supported with 3.1?

Thanks,
Andrew Brozgol
