The last release of this code was Wednesday, November 10, 1999.
I doubt anyone has ever tested it on anything other than x86;
much of the code is particular to cards from that era.

But, there is one default path, so in theory I suppose it's
possible.

I'm going to revert the commit rather than argue with you.
