Make sure that your /sys/kern/sys_process.c is version: * $Id: sys_process.c,v 1.10 1995/02/16 00:41:16 davidg Exp $ At any rate, I tried your program and it does not crash my system;however, without the above patched file gdb was indeed crashing my system. (gdb) next end Amancio
