I'm trying to back up FreeBSD to an Archive Viper 2525 tape drive. It's identified when the system boots as (aid0:3:0): "ARCHIVE VIPER 2525 25462 -007" type 1 removable SCSI 1 and then as (I think) st0 (aic0:3:0): Sequential Access density code 0x0, drive empty (even though there's a tape in the drive) I tried /sbin/dump 0uf /dev/st0 / but it quit after about 30 seconds saying the tape was full. Actually the tape should have enough sapce for the entire FreeBSD slice. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Annelise andrsn@hoover.stanford.edu
