Hi, 1) these are typical newbie experiences 2) there is a graphical configuration-tool for X: # XF86Config try it. 3) start with a very simple configuration (SVGA or even VGA16), it will not be brillant, but one can see at least something. 4) For fine-tuning search www.google.com Regards Uli.
