Anyone who decides to build world and REQUIRES that the build work
correctly the FIRST time, heed this advice.

First, subscribe to, and read freebsd-stable@freebsd.org
Second, sync your local sources today, and then FOLLOW the mailing list
for 3-5 days BEFORE trying to build world.

If anyone is complaining about failed builds, wait till the issue is
resolved.
sync your sources again, and wait a few more days following the lists.

Lets not be petty here, ok? The -STABLE branch has been just
fine, and will continue to be just fine if you follow the above
advice. Anyone can sync their sources in the middle of a commiter
uploading some new code changes. Also, the commiters are only
human, yes there will be short breakages, but at least (generally)
problems are fixed within hours of the first report. unlike SOME
OS's where they know of bugs and wait 9-10 months before a (binary only)
patch is released.

Might I suggest, if you don't like the -STABLE moniker, feel free to grep
through the sources, and change "-STABLE" to anything you'd like. It is
open source after all.

Just my thoughts on the subject,
