Is there a signal on the SVIDEO input? Can you try other inputs?

Yeah, there's a signal. I tried -c and -t, same exact results.

I think I'll return the card and get something else. The vendor I go
to sells DViCO now. Unfortunately, it's only the 7 series, so I may
end up getting a different model hauppauge.
