If you want to install ports from the cdrom.
Put your ports cdrom in the drive and boot the machine
After the box comes up login and but do not mount the
cdrom. Now try installing the port again.
This works for me.

	Hi,

I just installed FreeBSD 3.1 onto a fresh system
for the first time and am experiencing some problems=20
relating to the installation of *any* of the ports. In=20
the past, to get a port installed from one of my CDs, I=20
changed directories into /usr/ports/<subdir>/<package>=20
and typed 'make install'. However, when I do this now,
I get the following errors:

>> tcsh-6.08.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist on this system
>> Attempting to fetch from ftp:://...
fetch: ftp.astron.com: host name looku pfailure
...
>> Couldn't fetch it - please try to retrieve this
>> port manually into /usr/ports/distfiles and try again
*** Error Code 1

Any ideas? Is this a bug that I just haven't read
about?

	Thank you,

	--Tom
