I have tried to install socks5, and these are the facts: I have a FreeBSD machine connected via ppp to the ISP, and a network of other (win95, and winNT) machines connected on the local network... what I get (through the debugging information and also tcpdump) is that the request reaches the socks server and it resolves the address but does not forward it through the tun0 device to the destination. On the windows machine, the web browser says "host contacted. Waiting for reply..." and times out after a while... However, when I invoke a web browser from the FreeBSD box (thus bypassing the socks server) everything works fine... Can someone please help me fix this configuration problem?
