Can anyone point me to relevent docs re: ata flash card support? I haven't
been able to find anything on my own.

The situation:
--------------
4.6 installed on Libretto - works fine. Insert a flash card (SanDisk 512MB)
in a pcmcia adapter and the adapter into the machine, and this is what I
get:

  pccard: card inserted, slot 1
  Jul 8 19:0:26 sysyphus pccard[52]: Card "SunDisk"("SDP") [5/3 0.6]
[(null)] matched "SunDisk" ("/.*/") [(null)] [(null)]
  ata2 at port 0x240-0x247,0x24e irq 3 slot 1 on pccard1
  ad4: 488MB <SanDisk SDCFB-512> [993/16/63] at ata2-master BIOSPIO
  Jul 8 19:03:31 sysyphus pccardd[52]: ata2: SunDisk (/.*/) inserted

Basically, looks like it recognized it and assigned a device and driver to
it.

The problem is the ad4, of which I have no entries in /dev. Have a single
disk,
ad0. ad1-ad3 are present and unused, not sure why it took ad4. So, I don't
have
anything in /dev to mount. Can I explicitly assign it to ad{1,3}, somehow?

Trying mknod or MAKEDEV after inserting the card doesn't get me anything,
(but I'm not real conversant with those utilities, so may not have been
using them
correctly.)

Any doc pointers/thoughts appreciated.
