Yes they are supported, I have one working on a 3.1 stable box, it is a
PnP card, but you have to turn PnP off on the card and manually give it an
IRQ and I/O using the utility disk.

dmesg output:

ed0 at 0x240-0x25f irq 10 on isa
ed0: address 00:40:05:6d:35:70, type NE2000 (16 bit)
